Description of Service

Apatheia is a Stoic practice application that provides daily reflections, lessons, and AI-powered mentor interactions to help users develop a personal philosophy practice. Our service includes free and premium features.

User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Apatheia
One person may not maintain more than one account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Share harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content in community features
Attempt to manipulate the XP or leveling system
Resell or redistribute our content without permission

Intellectual Property

All content provided by Apatheia, including lessons, meditations, and AI responses, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Your own reflections and writings remain your property.

Premium Subscriptions

For premium features:

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
Refunds may be available according to the policies of your app store
We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice

AI Mentor Disclaimer

The AI mentors (Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus) are fictional representations designed to help you explore Stoic philosophy. Their responses are generated by AI and should not be considered as professional advice. For mental health concerns, please consult qualified professionals.

Limitation of Liability

Apatheia is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Andorra. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Andorra.
